Seth Towns

6-foot-7 prospect Seth Towns selected Harvard over Ohio State and Michigan in 2015. As a freshman for the Crimson, he averaged 12.3 points and 4.4 boards per game. He was not considered a high school blue-chipper but possessing the potential to play in the NBA.

From a mid-June 2015 article, Towns said, “There’s a quote I love by [Ralph Waldo] Emerson: ‘Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path.’ Dismantling normality, that’s what I stand for. I’m attempting to dismantle normality, personally, by going to Harvard.”

With the Wolverines and Buckeyes as options, was choosing Harvard truly the road less traveled for a high academic excellent basketball prospect?…
