Out of the Sacramento area, Elias King of IMG is ranked #9 among fifth-year players in Clark Francis’ September 20 Hoop Scoop rankings:

6’8 Elias King from Bradenton (IMG Academy) FL – Originally from Carmichael (Jesuit) CA and not to be confused with the guy with the same name and in the same class from Snellville (Lincoln Academy) GA, this 6’8 hybrid 4-man is a legit sleeper nationally due to the fact that he got hurt and did not get a chance to be seen at the end of summer in Las Vegas. He will need to get bigger and stronger physically, but knows how to use his skills and athleticism to attack the basket, draw fouls, and get more than his share of rebounds. He also has good passing skills for somebody his size and is the process of expanding his shooting range.”

Evan Daniels: “JUCO post player Camron Reece, of Sheridan College, just verbally committed to Akron, per a source. Reece is a preseason 2nd team All-American.”

A note from Reece.

Reece is 6-foot-6, 220 and out of Oakland Tech. He averaged 14.5 points plus 6.5 boards as a freshman while shooting 70% from the floor.

Verbal Commits: “2019 Sierra Canyon (CA) G Scotty Pippen, Jr. has received an offer from San Francisco.”

Pippen is a 6-foot-1 points also holding offers from UC Santa Barbara, Washington State and UC Davis. The latter seems out considering the Aggies have verbals from two other points.

Verbal Commits: “2020 Vanden (CA) F Jhaylon Martinez has received an offer from UC Davis.”

Kyle Owens: “Second Official Visit this weekend, UC Davis.”

Out of Crespi High in southern California, the 6-foot-6 Owens was offered and visited Montana earlier this month. He’s a 2019 prospect.

DSkerletic: “Taylor Johns is a new player of Panionios. Last season the forward played in Mexico, 23 games with averages of 19.9 points and 9.9 boards.

Panionios is based in Greece. Johns is out of Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep and UC Riverside.
