Fresno City College hosted and defeated Cabrillo College 87-59 as sophomore guard Georgie (Beyer High) Dancer produced 10 assists in 20 minutes for the Rams.
In San Diego City College’s 68-64 win over Santiago Canyon, freshman guard Kai (Placer High) Huntsberry totaled seven points, seven rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals in 26 minutes for the victors.
Host San Francisco State edged Cal State Monterey Bay 78-76 as Kenny (Ponderosa High/Lassen College) Macklin led with 18 points and Gator teammate Chiefy (Archbishop Riordan) Ugbaja totaled 14 points plus 12 rebounds. Charlie (Granite Bay High/Nevada) Tooley paced the Otters with 24 points.

After five games for New Mexico State, 6-foot-1 Terrell (Moreau High/San Jose State University/CCSF) Brown is averaging 13.0 points per game on 41%, 48% and 72% accuracy. His long-distance shooting is excellent thus far although he needs to pick it up elsewhere on the floor. 25 of his 39 shots have been from three-point range.
Teammate and senior JoJo (Newark Memorial High/Yuba College/Utah) Zamora is scoring 6.4 points a night with a requirement of upgrading his 33%, 13% and 67% marksmanship.
Las Positas 6-foot-4 freshman Michael (Tracy Hall) Hayes has started the season bigtime averaging 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for the undefeated Hawks. He is also putting up 3.3 assists and 3.8 steals a night.
His LPC teammate, 6-foot-1 sophomore John (Freedom High) Ketchel, is averaging 10.0 points a contest on 48%, 40% and 86% shooting plus 4.3 assists a matchup.
