Micheal (James Logan High/CCSF) Steadman provided a 15 point, 13 rebound double-double in San Jose State University’s 67-65 success against Bethune-Cookman.

Chris (Campolindo High) Hansen’s 27 points and 11 boards in 29 minutes immensely aided UC San Diego’s  80-79 win over San Francisco State.

With 20 points from Daniel (Los Altos High) Rosenbaum and Micah (Lick Wilmerding) Elan’s 18, Pomona-Pitzer turned away Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 73-65.

Fresno City College handled Cosumnes River College 95-72 as 6-foot-4 sophomore guard Jonah (Clovis North High) Brown scored 22 points including 6-9 shooting from three-point range.

A trio of former Bay Area talents are aiding the Whitman College cause this season. They are:

Joey (Acalanes High) Hewitt – seven games/starts, 22.4 minutes a contest alongside 15.6 points and 3.9 rebounds, while shooting 47%, 38% and 91%.

Darne (St. Joseph Notre Dame) Duckett – seven games/two starts, 19.3 minutes a contest alongside 10.9 points and 2.3 rebounds, while shooting 49%, 40% and 74%.

Robert (Archbishop Riordan) Colton – seven games/zero starts, 14.1 minutes a contest alongside 5.7 points and 4.4 rebounds, while shooting 46% and 55% (no three-point attempts).

It appears that Jack (Granada High) Kath is redshirting at Whitman this season.


Two former Bay Area players are important components in the Whitworth College cause this season. They are:

Kyle (Marin Academy) Roach – six games/six starts, 34.8 minutes a contest alongside 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.o assists , while shooting 51%, 30% and 78%.

Kevin (College Park High/Diablo Valley College) Crosno – six games, zero starts, 17.8 minutes a contest alongside 6.7 points and 1.7 rebounds, while shooting 56%, 45% and 50%.


One former northern California talent is playing big for Chaminade University this season. He is:

Erik (Marysville High/Yuba College) Scheive – five games/five starts, 26.6 minutes a contest alongside 13.4 points and 5.0 rebounds plus a team-leading six blocks, while shooting 50%, 46% and 77%.

Freshman James (Archbishop Riordan) Chun has yet to play this season and may be redshirting.
