Chico Wildcats: “THAT’S 200!

ChicoState men’s basketball coach Greg Clink is the fastest in the program’s history to reach 200 wins. Wildcats are 200-106 with Clink at the helm, including 162-61 in the last 7+ seasons”

Creating a successful culture including winning as well as creating a sense of team as family is a Clink specialty, something very difficult to achieve let alone maintain. Meanwhile, countless D1 programs throughout California flounder.

CCSF’s Men’s Basketball: “Congrats to sophomore Malcolm Johnson on committing to UCDavisMBB this morning.”

Johnson is a 6-foot-5, 220 sophomore who transferred into CCSF from Cal State Dominguez Hills. The top talent on the Rams, he is averaging 15.7 points, 7.1 boards and 2.1 assists while shooting 62%, 43% and 72%.


Jordan (Folsom High) Ford totaled 23 points in the St. Mary’s 88-66 homecourt romp over BYU.

Isiah (Placer High) Pineiro filled the stat sheet with 24 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals in San Diego’s 73-64 win over visiting Pacific.

Aubrey (Palo Alto High) Dawkins’ team high 23 points aided Central Florida in taking down Connecticut 65-53.

Jiday (Archbishop Riordan) Ugbaja led with 19 points and teammate Jase (Wilcox High) Wickliffe posted a 17 point, 10 rebound double-double as San Francisco State went into the Southland and grabbed an 88-79 win over Cal State Los Angeles.

UC San Diego bested Cal State Dominguez Hills 82-52 powered by 21 points and 10 boards from Chris (Campolindo High) Hansen.

Patrick (De La Salle) Marr provided 19 points while teammate Ant Navarette finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds as Cal State East Bay handled West Coast Baptist 103-49.

Behind a 38 point explosion by Skylar (Drake High) Chavez (who also provided 11 boards, five assists, two steals and a pair of blocked shots), Santa Rosa Junior College defeated host Modesto Junior College 87-79. SRJC box

Host Fresno City College turned away College of the Sequoias 73-66 with 5-foot-8 Ejay Gallejos leading the scoring with 17 points. full box

Allan Hancock College 81 Cabrillo College 77 “The Cabrillo College Seahawks lost tonight 81-77 to Allan Hancock College (Santa Maria). The loss drops the Seahawks to 11-4 on the season. Hancock’s win improves them to 14-2. Cabrillo found themselves down 14 points midway thru the first half but climbed back into the game as they cut the lead to 42-38 at halftime.

The second half was much like the first with Hancock pushing out to a 61-50 lead midway thru and managing to hold off the Seahawks runs at the end.

The Seahawks’ Trey Whitley lead Cabrillo in scoring with 24 points. Yeskin Williams had 13 points. Both Lenorris Mincey and Dymond Hanks scored 11…”

Freshman guard Greg Milton III scored 37 points (his third consecutive 30+ point effort) but Sacramento City College fell to American River College 86-83.


UC Santa Cruz, bolstered by Sam (Vacaville High) Gabbard’s 25 points plus 24 from Will (Casa Grande High) Crain (who shot 11-11), topped Los Angeles College of Divinity 84-79.

City College of San Francisco took care of visiting Gavilan College 75-58 after leading by seven at halftime. Gavilan box

DeAnza College edged host Chabot College 78-77 For the Dons, Ajay Singh led with 23 points, Dominic Simpkins contributed 21 Darien Davis tallied 20. Jabari Sweet just missed a double-double for Chabot with 25 points and nine boards. full box
