It was a tale of two halves as St. Mary’s took an 86-80 homecourt victory over USF with a 47-30 initial 20 minutes versus the Dons winning the second half 50-39. Jordan (Folsom High) Ford paced the victors 26 points, eight boards and five assists while Frankie (Burlingame High) Ferrari provided 22 points plus nine assists for the Dons.

Gonzaga bested visiting San Diego 85-69 but Isaiah (Placer High) Pineiro played extra large for the Toreros and finished with 30 points plus 11 rebounds.

Carlos (El Cerrito High) Johnson led with 20 points and Damari (Moreau Catholic) Milstead supplied 18 as Grand Canyon University beat Cal State Bakersfield 72-59.

Terrell (Moreau Catholic) Brown provided 19 points in New Mexico State’s 82-39 obliteration of Chicago State.

Daniel (Los Altos High) Rosenbaum’s team highs of 26 points, six boards and three steals carried Pomona-Pitzer to an 89-69 victory over Chapman University.

Fresno City College edged host College of the Sequoias 61-59 as Georgie (Beyer High) Dancer led with both 13 points and five assists. Ram box

Dempsey (Redwood High) Roggenburk canned 32 points for Linfield College as did Jimmy (Serra High) Wohrer for Puget Sound but the latter won 92-85 in overtime.

CCSF put the game away with a 57-22 second half and handled host Skyline College 96-50. Five Rams scored in double figures with Malcolm Johnson’s 18 points leading the way. CCSF box

Gavilan College bested host Hartnell College 63-48 as Xander (Christopher High) Bowers posted a 17 point, 10 rebound double-double and Daylon (Edison High) Potts contributed 17 boards. Gavilan box

Cabrillo College had no trouble taking down San Jose City College 96-64 as sophomore guard Trey (Harbor High) Whitley exploded for 35 points. Cabrillo box

Monterey Peninsula College topped visiting DeAnza College 90-80 behind Talili (Kimball High) Leaea’s 25 points plus 11 rebounds as well as 21 and 13 via Anthony (Heritage High) Dennis.

Las Positas College got by visiting Foothill College 73-71 as freshman Michael (West High) Hayes supplied 25 points and 12 rebound while teammate John (Freedom High) Ketchel posted an 11 point, 11 assist double-double alongside four steals. LPC box

College of Marin fell to 83-79 to Contra Costa College despite 20 points and 12 boards from Zamaria (Berkeley High) Odom and 12 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots supplied by Joey (Petaluma High) Potts. CoM box

Shooting 12-16, 4-6 and 2-2, Lance (St. Mary’s Stockton) Coleman II scored 30 points, grabbed five boards and dished out four assists in Fullerton College’s 88-65 victory versus Santiago Canyon. full box
