Allan Hancock’s Spirit Ricks was named a First Team Western State North honoree. The 6-foot-7 sophomore out of Patterson High earned the same honor last season. He averaged 11.5 points plus 6.2 rebounds in 2018-19 and shot 52%, 53% and 73%.

Sacramento State topped Eastern Washington 59-56 as Hornet guard Marcus Graves nearly achieved a triple double with 19 points, 10 boards, nine assists, with three steals to boot. Jesse (Drake High) Hunt totaled 15 points, seven rebounds and a pair of blocked shot for EWU.

Behind 28 points and 11 rebounds from Isaiah (Placer High) Pineiro, visiting San Diego came from behind at the end in both the first 40 minutes and overtime to defeat USF 91-90.

San Francisco State edged host Chico State 74-70 as Jiday (Archbishop Riordan) Ugbaja led the victors with 21 points.
