Now Noah Baumann, junior-to-be shooting guard from Arizona, is leaving the San Jose State University basketball program. Already the school record holder for most threes made in a season, he was second in scoring this past season at 10.8 points per game. Combine Baumann’s departure with the earlier one of Michael Steadman and replicating this season’s 4-27, 1-17 record will be a major challenge. For the record, the Spartans also finished 4-26, 1-17 last season in the Mountain West Conference, Coach Jean Prioleau’s first at the helm. He signed a five year contract in August 2017.

If a coaching change isn’t made, it will be telling every Spartan fan that SJSU is forgetting about next year altogether.
