Picking up right where he left off, Chris (Campolindo High) Hansen put 21 points, nine boards and six assists on the stat sheet as UC San Diego bested Simon Fraser 95-70 on Friday.

Linton (Cabrillo College) Acliese just missed a double-double with 26 points and nine boards in San Francisco State’s 78-63 road win over Academy of Art.

Chico State handled host Seattle Pacific 75-53 as Malik (Jesuit High) Duffy led the cause with both 25 points and nine rebounds.

Cal State Dominguez High fell to host Western Washington 92-88 despite 19 points plus nine boards from Andrew (Hamilton High/Butte College) Whitsett.

Powered by Isaac Davidson’s 24 points and Michael (Foothill High) Smith’s 21, Sonoma State edged Dominican University 87-82.

Saturday’s CCAA highlights

Despite receiving 21 points and nine boards from Justin (River City High) Briggs plus 18 and seven from Malik (Jesuit High) Duffy, Chico State fell in overtime 97-91 to Azuza Pacific.

Chris (Campolindo High) Hansen provided 25 points and 13 rebounds in UC San Diego’s 76-69 takedown of host Western Washington.


Thursday’s CCCAA highlights

In the Chabot tournament, 5-foot-10 Cameron Malbrough totaled 34 points, eight assists, five boards and four steals but College of Alameda fell 94-89 to College of San Mateo. Malbrough shots 13-19, 8-10 and 0-1 respectively.

In another pairing at Chabot, Kobe (Monterey High) Ordonio’s double-double of 18 points and 12 assists plus five assists powered Gavilan College to a 79-66 victory against West Hills Coalinga.

Friday’s CCAAA highlights

In double overtime, Chabot College edged Gavilan College 118-113 as Kobe (Monterey High) Ordonio totaled 40 points, 11 assists and eight boards and teammate Daemar (Edison High) Potts went for 22 points and 15 rebounds.

DeAnza College defeated College of the Redwoods 72-67 in the Chabot tournament as Jordan Alexander produced 25 points plus nine rebounds.

In San Diego, Citrus College bested Fresno City College 78-74 although Keshawn (Burbank High) Bruner finished with 17 points (7-11 shooting) and six rebounds in the losing cause.

Delta Mens Basketball: “89-68 Delta with win over Ohlone. Improving to 3-0 on the year. Travis August 22, Reilly (Riverbank High) Nabors 18 and Dillon (Calaveras High) Autrey 17 points and 10 rebounds.”

Saturday’s CCCAA highlights

Las Positas College took down host Cabrillo College 76-63.

Freshman Darius (Liberty High) Scott finished with 22 points, six rebounds and four assists in Monterey Peninsula College’s 84-73 victory over College of Merced.

Keshawn (Burbank High) Brunner totaled 17 points plus 10 boards in Fresno City College’s 83-75 loss to host San Diego City College. Teammate Marcus (El Capitan High) McCutcheon shot 8-8 on his way to 18 points.

Delta Men’s Basketball: “Delta with a victory 77-57 over Merritt. Travis (Liberty High) August 19, Kieth (Lincoln High) Terry 17, Reilly (Riverbank High) Nabors 14. Mustangs improve to 4-0 on season.”

In San Diego, Fresno City College bopped Barstow College 119-75 as Marcus McCutcheon led with 24 points and teammate Mohammad Adam shot 6-10 from long distance to finish with 18 points.


Behind 19 points, seven boards and three assists from Jamaree (Palma High) Bouyea, USF downed visiting Princeton 83-72 on Saturday.

Kai (Antelope High) Tease led with 19 points as Academy of Art University bested Sonoma State 64-60 in San Rafael on Saturday.


On Friday, guard Kiree (Santa Cruz High) Hutchings tallied nine points (3-5 shooting from three-point range), two boards and two assists in 20 minutes as John Brown University handled Missouri Valley 66-43 on Friday.
