Sayeed (El Cerrito High) Pridgett filled the stats sheet with 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as visiting Montana handled Eastern Washington 90-63.

Led by Souley (Oakland Tech/USF) Boum’s 26 points, UTEP defeated Southern Mississippi 76-64. Boum shot 14-14 at the charity stripe.

Wednesday

Pomona-Pitzer defeated LaVerne 88-63 as Micah (Lick-Wilmerding) Elan produced 19 points, four rebounds and four assists for the victors.

Christian (Menlo-Atherton High) Fioretti led with 20 points, Andre (Urban School) Campbell contributed 19 and Isaac (Lowell High) Finestone produced 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists as Oberlin College bested Ohio Wesleyan 89-80.

Host Fresno City College took down Columbia College 87-67 as Marcus (El Capitan High) McCutchen led the Rams with 21 points and teammate Keshawn (Burbank High/Cal State East Bay) Bruner tallied 17. FCC shot 52% 55% and 80% respectively.

City College San Francisco had no trouble with Chabot College in winning 118-76.

West Valley College edged Gavilan 90-87 despite the Rams receiving 36 points plus six assists, five boards and two steals from Kobe (Monterey High/Cabrillo College) Ordonio. He shot 14-21, 0-2 and 8-10 respectively with just three turnovers.

Las Positas College bopped Ohlone College 118-69 with Michael (West High) Hayes posting a 20 point, 14 rebound double-double for the victors.

Los Medanos College topped College of Marin 81-77 as the latter was led by Jalen (DeAnza High) Chandler’s 25 points plus 22 and eight assists via Franco (DeAnza High) Barefield.

25 points from Colby (Mills High) Vasquez powered Skyline College to a 70-67 win versus host College of San Mateo.

Tuesday

Look at 6-foot-8 Bear Cub Edward (Foothill High-Bakersfield) Turner’s line in Santa Rosa Junior College’s 68-62 victory over visiting Sacramento City College: 15 points, seven boards, four assists and five blocked shots on the defensive end. Ryan (Laguna Creek High) Reed’s 20 points led SCC.

Freshman Pierce (Vista Del Lago High) Rexford impressed with 26 points but host Diablo Valley College handled Folsom Lake College 81-60.

Last Saturday, Mendocino College hosted and beat Napa Valley College 94-79 as 6-foot-2 freshman guard Lesown Hallums Jr. tallied 30 points.


Catching Up With…

After 19 games, 6-foot-9 freshman Jay (Valley Christian) Allen-Tovar is averaging 5.4 points plus 2.2 rebounds alongside 10 blocked shots for Salt Lake City College. He is shooting 52% 29% and 70% respectively.

Also after 19 games, 6-foot-7 redshirt freshman Dylan (Los Gatos High/USF) Belquist is averaging 4.5 points and 2.9 rebounds with 11 steals for Salt Lake City College. He’s shooting 40%, 20% and 61% respectively.

Salt Lake is sophomore heavy this season with 4-5 players likely heading to D1.
