Rocco Miller: “Former UW and Portland State player, Elijah Hardy, is transferring to Cal State Northridge per his Instagram page.”

The 6-foot-2 Hardy is out of Bishop O’Dowd. He’ll be playing for interim head coach Trent Johnson.

San Francisco Dons
2021-2022 Overall Rank: #91
Conference Rank: #5 West Coast

San Francisco got off to a decent start last season, including a nice win over then #4 Virginia. But things pretty much fell apart by the end of the campaign. The Dons lost their last six regular season games and ended the year with a very disappointing 4-9 record in West Coast Conference play. But with much of the team returning and a few transfers entering the program, USF should see dramatic improvement in 2021-2022…”

“Washington State Cougars
2021-2022 Overall Rank: #106
Conference Rank: #10 Pac-12

Washington State has ended up right around the .500 mark during Coach Kyle Smith’s two seasons leading the program. The results in the Pac-12 have been less flattering though with an 11th place finish in 2019-2020 and a tenth place finish last year. This year could be more of the same with the departure of top scorer Isaac Bonton, but there are also some talented new pieces that could lead the Cougars charging up the standings…”

The feature also provides coverage of 6-foot-10 sophomore Dischon (St. Patrick St. Vincent) Jackson and 5-foot-11 junior Tyrell (Woodcreek High) Roberts, a UC San Diego transfer.

“Fresno State Bulldogs
2021-2022 Overall Rank: #124
Conference Rank: #5 Mountain West

Following a 23-9 campaign in 2018-2019, Fresno State has not had a great couple of seasons. The Bulldogs finished 12-12 last year and won a respectable nine games in MWC play. However, only one of those wins came against the top five teams in the conference, a late season victory over Boise State. If Fresno State is going to become one of the top teams in the Mountain West this year, they are going to have to beat some of the good teams in the conference…”

The remainder of the feature also covers Deon (San Joaquin Memorial High) Stroud, Junior (Modesto Christian High/Cal Poly) Ballard and Robert (Archbishop Riordan) Voihola.
