Sheridan College Generals Men’s Basketball: “Camron Reece has committed to the University of Akron men’s basketball program for the fall of 2019! Camron was 3rd Team All-Region IX as a freshman while averaging 14ppg and 7rpg…”

Out of Oakland Tech, the 6-foot-6, 220 forward has since signed. Reece is averaging 13.2 points plus 6.6 boards in 10 games/starts this season.


UC Santa Cruz update

On Saturday, Sam (Vacaville High) Gabbard scored 18 points while grabbing nine rebounds and Will (Casa Grande High) Crain stuffed the stats sheet with 15 points, seven boards, five blocked shots, four assists and three steals in UCSC’s 66-63 loss to host Cal Tech.

On Sunday, Pomona-Pitzer defeated the Slugs 83-75 as Sam Gabbard posted a 33-point, seven rebound line.

Daniel (Los Altos High) Rosenbaum paced the winners with 24 points.

Viktor Rajkovic led the Bulls with 19 points and eight assists, while Lukas Prongos added 15 points and five rebounds. Peyton Mullarkey drilled four 3-pointers en route to a 13-point night, and point guard Kwentyn Wiggins played stellar defense and pulled down 12 boards…”


For Pomona-Pitzer this season, senior Daniel (Los Altos High) Rosenbaum is providing 26.6 points, 5.2 boards and 2.4 assists while shooting 54%, 38% and 79%.

6-foot-3 junior running mate Micah (Lick-Wilmerding) Elan is contributing 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting 52%, 43% and 89%.

The Sagehens are 8-1 thus far.


TUESDAY

James (Salesian High) Akinjo led with both 17 points and four assists as well as collecting six rebounds in Georgetown’s 83-73 victory over Appalachian State.

Michael (James Logan High/CCSF) Steadman finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds but San Jose State University fell to Stanford 78-73.

CSU Bakersfield downed Cal Poly 74-61 despite the latter getting a team high 21 points from freshman guard Junior (Modesto Christian) Ballard. He shot 7-11, 4-8 and 3-5 alongside grabbing six rebounds.

In the South Dakota State 71-64 success versus Eastern Washington, Jesse (Drake High) Hunt stuffed the stats sheet with 12 rebounds, eight points and eight assists.
